Short Answer: It's not necessary, but if your baby is exclusively formula fed and your formula does not already contain a probiotic, then I do think adding a probiotic can be beneficial. The type of probiotic you choose, and the way you introduce it all depend on your individual baby's characteristics.

Short Answer: ALL formula is made as a substitute for breast milk. Advertising that a particular baby formula is ideal for breastfed babies is just a marketing strategy. Read the list of ingredients and choose whichever you think is best, no matter what the marketing

Short Answer: It depends on what State you are in. But every State should have a partially hydrolyzed option in case you baby needs it. There are also forms you can ask your doctor to fill out to help you use your WIC support to get a non-WIC formula if your baby needs it. This process is easier in some States than others.
